Effects in inducing caspase-3 levels in OVCAR-3 cancer cells. OVCAR-3 cells (2 × 10⁶) were seeded in 60-mm dishes, incubated for 16 hours, and treated with kaempferol (0 or 20 μM) and cisplatin (0, 40, and 80 μM) for 2 hours. Caspase-3 levels were determined with a colorimetric assay kit and normalized to total protein levels determined with a BCA assay kit. Normalized caspase-3 levels were expressed as percent of control, logged and fitted to linear regression models to check cisplatin and kaempferol's effects on cell apoptosis, and their interactions.
