Effect of GR on the telomerase activity. a. MDA-MB 231 and b. MCF-7 cells were seeded in 75 cm² flasks and grown in DMEM culture medium containing 10% FBS and 1% Pen/Strep at different glucose concentrations (0, 1 and 4.5 g/L of glucose). After 5 days of pre-incubation in the appropriate medium 1.5 million cells of each condition were prepared for the telomerase activity and protein measurements. The bars represent values from at least three independent experiments (*P < 0.05, **P < 0.01).
