Transfected but non-apoptotic cells. A fraction of cells exhibits weak and rather uniform fluorescence when transfected with pcDNA3-C1D(EGFP). Cells of this type can be distinguished because exhibiting undisturbed morphology, and much longer exposure times are required to capture 510 nm fluorescence mode images (2–3 seconds).
