  1. To obtain genes regulated by GCs in a conserved manner in both pediatric (Ped.) and adult leukemias, the 27 genes regulated in the same sense among all naturally GC-sensitive (Sen.) and resistant-restored-to-sensitive (Resen.) human leukemias (Table 2) were compared to mouse thymocytes (C57/BL6 Dx). This analysis identified 10 genes, 2 of which were regulated in an opposite sense regulation between human and mouse indicated by (Opp. R, symbol, closed circle). This list was also compared to Dex-treated resistant (Res.) CEM-C1–15 cells (C1–15 Dx). Bold type indicates statistically significant regulation p ≤ 0.05 between means of vehicle vs. GC-treated. Symbol, asterisk = gene "absent" by selection criteria.
