Typical microsatellite instability (MSI) and loss of heterozygosity (LOH) in five microsatellites in post-treatment samples from several patients. P## represent the patient’s number. Pre-T = pre-treatment specimen analysis, Pst-T = post-treatment analysis. Arrows point to the lesion in post-treatment analyses. In two of the LOH cases also new alleles, representing simultaneous MSI, could be seen. Different dyes were used to label overlapping markers (detailed markers characteristics including used dyes are displayed in Additional file 3: Table S2.
