Induction of apoptosis in human colorectal and breast cancer cells treated with Nar. Human colorectal cancer cells (A) and human breast cancer cells (B) were plated (2.5 × 105 cells/well) into 24-well plates in non-CO2 incubator at 37°C for 18 h. The cells were then treated with Nar (3.0 mM) for 48 h. The cells were processed and stained with annexin V-FITC/PI and analyzed by flow cytometry as described in the Materials and Methods section.
