MN-bearing cells are prone to produce the same kind of MN in daughter cells with different frequencies. MN-bearing cells were followed during mitosis to determine that the relationship of MNi between two generations. K+MNi carried both H2B-mCherry and CENP B-GFP signals. K−MNi contained only H2B-mCherry signals, but no CENP B-GFP. K+MN-bearing cells produced significantly more K+MNi than MN-free cells in daughter cells, while K−MN-bearing cells formed K−MNi in much more frequencies.
