Transcriptional activity correlates with TFIIH levels. a Sections of testis (Xpby/y mouse) showing seminiferous tubules were stained with either anti-GFP or anti-HA (DNA content as counter staining). In both images, TFIIH concentration (via XPB) follows the known peripheral-to-central reduction of transcriptional activity. Mature sperm cells in the lumen of the tubules only appear in counter staining (no detectable TFIIH).
