α7-nAChR knockdown/inhibition suppresses SNCG expression. a OEC-M1 cells were transfected with plko-1(vector only) or shRNA to α7-nAChR (sh α7-nAChR). Total RNA and proteins were harvested and subjected to RT-PCR and Western blot analysis of α7-nAChR expression. b OEC-M1 OSCC cancer cells were plated in cell culture dishes and treated with or without nicotine for 24 h. The cell lysates were harvested and subjected to RT-PCR and Western blot analysis of SNCG expression.
