The mechanisms of ALKBH5 are involved in human cancers and non-cancers. ALKBH5 plays an important role in breast cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, gastrointestinal cancer and glioma. In addition, ALKBH5 takes a great part in human non-cancers, such as reproductive system diseases and ossification. The underlying mechanisms involve cancer stem cells, autophagy, hypoxia, long non-coding RNA
