OPN splicing isoform c was selectively upregulated in colon cancer cells briefly treated with 5-FU. HT115 (a) and HCT-8 (b) cells treated with 20 μg/ml 5-FU for 2, 6 or 24 h, and then stained for γH2AX. The mRNA levels of OPN splicing isoforms in HT115 (c) and HCT-8 (d) cells exposed to 6 μg/ml 5-FU for 40 min. Normalized OPN-SI expression for relative abundance. (n = 3, *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01)
