LncRNAs regulate gene transcription. a The lncRNA TOTTIP forms a RNA–protein complex with WDR5 and recruits the histone H3 lysine 27 trimethylation MLL/WDR5/ASH2L/RBBP5 protein complex to the HOXA gene promoter, leading to histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4) trimethylation and transcriptional activation of the HOXA gene. b Super-lncRNAs bind to multiple anchor DNA sites at super-enhancers, and recruit and transport transcription factors (TFs) and Mediator complexes to super-enhancers, leading to transcriptional activation of super-enhancer-associated oncogenes
