miR-198 inhibits the growth of renal cell carcinoma. A498 cells were transfected with the scrambled mimic of miR-198, wild-type miR-198, or miR-198 inhibitor. After 36 h, the cells were collected and injected into nude mice (n = 6). Each tumor’s width and length were measured daily; after 24 days, the nude mice were sacrificed to excise the tumor.
