Bax, Bcl-2, P21, and CCND1 mRNA were assessed by quantitative RT-PCR. Each cell line was treated with its related IC50 value for 48 h, and gene expression was evaluated at mRNA level. The qRT-PCR results were normalized against the internal control GAPDH and are expressed as a percentage of control cells. Values are the average of 3 separate determinations and shown as mean ± SEM. (*p < 0.05; **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001; ****p < 0.0001 compared with control)
