HzMUC1-MMAE inhibits the growth of Capan-2 and CFPAC-1 tumor by reducing cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis. Tumors dissected from mice treated with PBS or HzMUC1-MMAE (5 mg/kg) were sectioned, and subjected to immunohistochemistry staining with anti-Ki-67 (A) and anti-cleaved caspase-3 (C) antibodies respectively. Scale bar = 50 μm. B Quantification of the Ki-67 immunohistochemistry results. Ki-67 positive tumor cells were counted from five random 400x microscopic fields for each section. D Protein samples from Capan-2 and CFPAC-1 tumor tissues were resolved by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with anti-cleaved caspase 3 and anti-caspase 3 antibodies, and reprobed with anti-β-actin antibody as loading control. Statistical analyses were performed using unpaired two-tailed Student’s t-test. ****P < 0.0001, indicate statistical significance compared to PBS control group
