BA significantly inhibited the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma xenografts in vivo. Nude mice bearing hepatocellular carcinoma tumor xenografts were treated with DMSO/Olive oil (2%V/V, as the non-treated control), 5-FU (10 mg/kg i.p.) or BA (5, 10 mg/kg i.p.) once a day for 5 days. Tumor volumes and weights were measured every 2 days. a Representative images of tumors treated with 5-FU (10 mg/kg) and BA (5, 10 mg/kg) on day 20, DMSO treated tumors were included at negative control. b Tumor volume over time.
