In multivariate analysis considering known prognostic factors (age, gender, type of leukemia, cytogenetic risk group, WBC, FLT3/ITD, and NPM1 mutant status), EKLF expression (yes/no) remained an independent favorable prognostic factor for event free survival (EFS) (HR 0.4504, 95%CI 0.2115-0.9589). Overall survival (OS) was not correlated with any factor when stepwise multivariate analysis was performed. WBC, white blood cell; MRC, cytogenetic classification of Medical Research Cancer [21].
