(A) Transient transfection of wild type beta-catenin into ROS-PG-13 cells increases alkaline phosphatase and p53 functional activity. Following transfection with the beta-catenin or control DNA, cells were lysed and equal amount of protein lysates were used to measure alkaline phosphatase activity. Enzyme activity was normalized to the mock transfected controls and reported as fold change. Data represents mean ± SEM of n = 4. *p < 0.05 versus control.
