From: Myricetin enhance chemosensitivity of 5-fluorouracil on esophageal carcinoma in vitro and in vivo
Myricetin enhances 5-FU chemosensitivity on interrupting progression of cell cycle. Cell cycle distribution was analyzed by flow cytometry. Data are presented as the mean of triplicate experiments. EC9706 cells incubated with 5-FU (80 μM) or myricetin (50 μM) showed increased G0/G1 phase percentage significantly, and decreased the S and G2/M phase fractions. And when 5-FU combination with myricetin, the effect of interrupting progression of cell cycle become more obvious (*P < 0.05 vs control, # P < 0.05 vs 5-FU group).
