The autophagic signal by natural agents. Curcumin, Tanshinone IIA, ursolic acid, quercetin, fisetin, resveratrol, and honokiol inhibit AKT/mTOR pathway. Tanshinone IIA and curcumin also enhance activation of AMPK which inhibits AKT/mTOR pathway. Tanshinone IIA modulates the initiation of phagophore formation. Ginsenoside 20(S) Rg-3, total tanshinone and ursolic acid enhance the formation of autophagosomes. Ginsenoside RO and [6]-Gingerol inhibit autophagosome–lysosome fusion
