Genomic information of human PEG10 gene. PEG10 gene is located on the q21.3 of chromosome 7. The bold arrows show the orientations of PEG10 and SGCE. Exon 1 transcribes the 5’-UTR and exon 2 transcribes two ORFs and the 3’-UTR. ORF1 encodes a gag-like PEG10-RF1 protein, which contains a CCHC-type zinc finger domain. This component protein regulates cell proliferation and apoptosis as a main functional protein.
