Accumulating findings have detected that androgen receptor, estrogen receptor, and progesterone receptor can play a crucial role in the regulation of hTERT expression in tumor cells. In addition, stress hormones can lead to overexpression of cellular telomerase activity in response to various environmental stimuli [159]
