The stability of SonoVue MBs, nanobubbles (NBs) and ultrasound (US) sensitive siRNA-loaded nanobubbles (siRNA-NBs). Stability of SonoVue MBs, NBs and siRNA-NBs analysed using contrast enhanced US imaging in vitro (A). At the initial stage (0 min), there was no significant difference in the gray-scale intensity among the SonoVue MBs, NBs and siRNA -NBs groups, indicating that NBs and siRNA-NBs did not change the US sensitivity. After 40 min, compared with SonoVue MBs, the gray-scale intensities of NBs and siRNA-NBs declined more slowly, confirming their strengthened stability (B)
